This diverse safari explores southern Kenya and the scenic Rift Valley lakes. Visitors will experience large elephant herds in Amboseli National Park, beautiful lake scenery at Lake Naivasha, and excellent rhino viewing in Lake Nakuru National Park. The journey also includes a visit to Hell's Gate National Park where visitors can enjoy cycling or walking among dramatic cliffs and geothermal landscapes.
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive south through Maasai country to Amboseli National Park. Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive across the park’s open plains and swamps, home to large elephant herds, buffalo, giraffes, and numerous bird species. The snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro provides a spectacular backdrop.
Spend the day exploring different areas of the park with morning and afternoon game drives. Amboseli is known for its excellent elephant sightings and opportunities to photograph wildlife with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background. The swamps attract hippos and a variety of birdlife.
After breakfast, depart Amboseli and drive north through the Rift Valley towards Lake Naivasha. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon. Later, enjoy an optional boat safari on the lake where you may see hippos and many bird species including fish eagles, pelicans, and cormorants.
After breakfast, visit Hell’s Gate National Park where guests can enjoy cycling or walking safaris among wildlife such as zebras, gazelles, and giraffes. Later, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park for lunch at your lodge followed by an afternoon game drive.
