This safari combines thrilling wildlife adventures with relaxing beach time on Kenya’s beautiful Indian Ocean coast. Guests first explore the wildlife-rich plains of the Maasai Mara National Reserve before flying to the tropical beaches of Mombasa or Diani Beach for a few days of relaxation and coastal exploration.
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara. Arrive at your lodge or tented camp in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive in the reserve.
Spend the day exploring the reserve’s vast savannah plains with morning and afternoon game drives. The Mara is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife including lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and numerous antelope species.
Enjoy another day of wildlife viewing with game drives across different parts of the reserve. Visit the Mara River area where crocodiles and hippos live and where the famous migration crossings occur during migration season.
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for a scenic flight to the Kenyan coast. Arrive at your beach resort and spend the afternoon relaxing on the white sandy beaches of the Indian Ocean.
Spend the day enjoying the tropical beach environment. Activities may include swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing, or exploring the local coastal culture.
